LIFEGUARD
PURPOSE:
To assist the residents/guest(s) in the pool area as well as maintain the pool as specified below but not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and, or on rare occasions, move more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, pest and rodents. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Open pool gates
Close and lock all areas at the end of the day
Arrange pool furniture
Keep pool furniture clean
At the end for the day remove trash from trash cans
Keep restrooms clean, sanitized and stocked with paper and soap, vacuum rugs
Maintain confidentiality of the residents (do not share with others)
Check in authorized guest(s)
Control unsafe actions by guest(s)
Control guests (what they bring into the pool area glass, no alcoholic beverages, etc.)
Close pool when inclement weather (lightning, storm, etc.)
Vacuum pool in the morning
Scrub tile daily to keep clean
Test water and keep test log three times per day
Clean out skimmer baskets and back wash filters
Keep supply closet neat and orderly
Advise maintenance when pool chemicals need to be ordered
Provide feedback to the Property Manager (issues with residents, guests, etc.)
Pool and all areas are to be clean at all times
Report to work at designated time
Represent our apartment community with professionalism at all times
Other assigned activities from time to time
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Perform all other reasonable requests made by Navigate, Boston Capital, CAHEC, Berkadia, HUD, Virginia Housing, ACOV, or the Regional Manager, or the other officers of Amurcon Realty Company.
