AMVAC® has an opportunity for a TERRITORY SALES REPRESENTATIVE (TSR) to manage the South Dakota and North Dakota Red River Valley area. In this role, the TSR will manage sales activities and business opportunities involving external customers within their assigned territory to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives in alignment with team objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage territory customer accounts; establish and maintain regular contact with customers and key influencers to obtain product performance feedback and develop markets segments by brand. Customer (distributors, retailers, agricultural consultants, and key growers) focus is needed to accomplish territory objectives for current products.
- Develop annual territory business objectives that support the regional and national strategies. Key account planning for target customers that can deliver our sales volumes by brand and profit objectives.
- Support the regional Product Development Manager to maximize organic growth and develop new markets.
- The approximate focus of time expended is 80% focused on retailers, 12-15% with distribution sales reps and 5-8% at the grower level.
- Responsible for managing annual territory expense budgets that could include such items as promotional items, travel, and entertainment budgets.
- Create and deliver internal and external sales presentations; prepare presentation materials, including handouts and graphics. Work closely with immediate supervisor or product management to identify suitable marketing/promotional programs, obtaining buy-in and approval on territory business plans.
- Monthly reports regarding customer, product and competitive information are required along with verbal updates on key activities with your manager.
- Oversee Seasonal Sales Contractors and Collaborate with other Territory Managers to build alliances within the grower community and support distributors and other influencers in the area.

TRAVEL: Approximately 70% of time on the job…3.5 days a week on average in customer facing activities. Overnight travel expectations will vary depending on the location of rep but should be less than 1.5 nights a week on average for a full year.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College degree required with a preferred focus in Agricultural Science or Business. A strong background in the Agricultural Chemical or related Agriculture Industry is required.
