Engineering Manager (Structural Engineering)

Amvare Inc. is an engineering recruiting company. We have an immediate need for “Engineering Manager” for a client of ours. This is a Fulltime Permanent position located in Natural Bridge Station, VA.

This is a hybrid role, requiring up to 5 days per month at our headquarters once the onboarding process is complete. The candidate must be located in the Eastern time zone and live near a major airport.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of semi-permanent, engineered fabric structures, delivering innovative solutions across diverse industries. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and help drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and manage the engineering department, providing mentorship, performance oversight, and professional development opportunities.
• Build and refine engineering processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, to ensure alignment and support of organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience in the DOD shelter market is desired, but not required.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and calculations, particularly for wind and snow loads.
• Demonstrated experience sealing and stamping engineering drawings.
• Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, AutoDesk etc.) and engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of configuration control processes and best practices.

Compensation

$130K - $140K per year.
