Purpose: New state-of-the-art small animal practice and full-service boarding facility is seeking a full-time kennel manager to join our team. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the boarding facility.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and communicate regularly in a professional, friendly manner
- Schedule boarders including intake and discharge
- Alert medical staff of any medical concerns regarding boarders
- Boarder enrichment
- Administer medications
- Care for animals including feeding, watering, and cleaning of eliminations
- Keep boarding facility clean and organized
- Assist in marketing of boarding facility
- Managerial tasks including inventory, ordering, and scheduling
- Other duties as needed assigned by employer
- Weekend animal care is required
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and friendly disposition
- Organizational skills
- Possess some creativity and innovation skills
- Experience in the proper care and handling of dogs and cats
- Previous experience in a boarding or kennel setting preferred
