Position: Land Nutrient Specialist
Location: AMVC Management Services, Audubon, IA

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Land Nutrient Specialist oversees the organization’s environmental performance and ensures farms are operating sustainably while also complying with State & Federal environmental regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Assist in preparing, organizing, and administering manure management plans and soil sampling
· Assist in organizing and coordinating manure application including record keeping
· Maintain databases of information pertaining to the manure plans
· Discuss manure plan requirements to farmers, customers, manure applicators, and other necessary individuals
· Assist in the management of crops in several states
QUALIFICATIONS
-Preferred 2 or 4 year degree in an agricultural related field
-Preferred skill in using computers and the related mapping software to manage data bases (GIS)
-General agriculture knowledge
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and process data and develop recommendations and action plans.
-minimal travel is required
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
-About 70% of this job is office and 30% is field time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
