Description:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment to include generators, wheeled/track vehicles, and semi-trailer combinations up to 70-ton capacity
- Operate various types of forklifts and equipment to complete loading, unloading, warehousing and preparing equipment and supplies for transport
- Receive daily tasks and assignments from the Maintenance supervisor
- Examples of forklifts and equipment range from 2,000 pound to 50,000-pound capacity rough terrain (RT), and various types of wheeled cranes up through 25 tons
- Must perform snow removal in winter months for all areas serviced
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and services
- Perform operator maintenance to include servicing vehicle braking systems, checking vehicle lights, and taking oil samples
- Receive incoming warehouse items and equipment and check them for damage and serviceability
- Issue/receive equipment; store equipment in the warehouse; load outgoing equipment
- Prepare and post documents for the Army Oil Analysis Program and dispatching equipment
- Prepare documents and warehouse reports
- All other duties as assigned
- Class A CDL, or be willing to obtain one within 90 days
- High level of Customer Service skills
- Ability to work in a Team atmosphere
- 2 years of experience operating vehicles up to 70 tons including tractor trailer and/or engineer type equipment (Scrapers, Dozers, Graders and Dump trucks)
- Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment
- Ability to work in all-weather elements, including heat and cold
- GCSS-Army experience a plus
- This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation
- Computer literacy a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
