We are currently seeking an experienced Parts Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Parts Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of parts, ensuring adequate stock levels, and providing outstanding customer service. This role involves purchasing parts from vendors, tracking orders, assisting customers in identifying and acquiring the correct parts, and resolving any supplier or order-related issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of products, maintain accurate records, and contribute to efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of inventory, including sales, returns, special orders, and stock received.
- Regularly update inventory management systems and generate reports on stock levels and sales trends.
- Monitor inventory to identify parts requiring replenishment and place purchase orders with vendors as needed.
- Inspect incoming parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Assist customers in identifying the correct parts for repairs or replacements and process their orders promptly.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any part-related concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address issues such as quality, availability, or delivery delays.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of parts in accordance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in inventory management, stock tracking, and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and vendors.
- Familiarity with parts catalogs, inventory systems, and relevant computer software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of industry-specific products and proper parts handling procedures.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues related to parts availability, compatibility, and customer concerns.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
