Operations Manager I

Manage all activities related to operation of the facility by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors. Coordinates warehouse activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop production, inventory control, staffing, safety, and quality goals with supervisors and holds them accountable

Ensure standards of productivity, inventory control, safety and accuracy are met

Provide guidance to the development of personnel requirements, material needs, tooling and equipment needs

Ensure all established costs, quality and delivery commitments are met

Review's production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and maintenance problems.

Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives

Maintains vendor relationships.

Compile, store and retrieve production data for reports

Ensures that tools and equipment are kept in the designated areas and secured

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor of Science from a four-year accredited college or university

One to two years related experience and / or training or Equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge of : Warehouse processes

People Management techniques

Business and management principles

Skill In :

Train assigned employees on company government and customer policies, procedures and regulations

Ensure all assigned employees comply with company government and customer policies, procedures, and regulations

Active listening

Ability To :

Facilitate and lead client communication as required

Speak confident, clear, and professional

Develop professional and accurate written communication

Analyze information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems

Work Environment :

Office / Warehouse Mix : This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role will require the ability to, on occasion, go in and out of trailers, navigate around roller racks, and other logistical equipment within a warehouse setting. The position will also require travel of both in air and driving.

While performing duties of this job, the employee's work environment may vary from professional office to fulfillment center floor, and other vendor / client locations.
