JOB SUMMARY_
Performs preventive maintenance, problem diagnostics, and repairs on the Company's heavy equipment. (dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.)
MAJOR DUTIES
Troubleshoots heavy equipment operations problems, diagnoses and subsequently makes repairs.
Performs preventive maintenance on heavy equipment according to standard schedules.
Adjusts, repairs or replaces parts and equipment.
Attends safety meetings and classes.
Maintains tools and equipment.
Maintains a safe and tidy shop.
Welds and fabricates parts as needed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
COMPLEXITY
The work consists of heavy equipment maintenance duties. The variety of equipment to be maintained contributes to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to participate in the maintenance of the Company's heavy equipment.
Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of a variety of company operations.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance principles.
Knowledge of heavy equipment diagnostics and repair principles.
Minimum of 4 years' experience working on heavy equipment.
Skills in the use of tools and equipment used in the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in welding
Skill in troubleshooting and identifying problems and in devising related solutions,
