This is a full time position working a Monday-Friday, 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM EST schedule. This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental & vision), 401K, DailyPay, paid vacation, free downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.

SUMMARY

This position's main responsibility is to professionally greet and assist both clients and guests for the Sales, Catering and Convention departments. It also requires the additional commitment to assist Sales Managers in administrative duties.

FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general administrative assistance to all Sales Managers.
  • Handle general client requests in the absence of a Manager and communicate the requests / solution to the Manager involved.
  • Greet Guests who visit the Sales Office and Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Create and update internal bookings for the Flannery Meeting Room.
  • Complete supplementary tasks in a timely manner as assigned by a Manager.
  • Participate in an "aggressive hospitality program," greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.
  • Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.
  • Train on and daily operate Delphi Meeting systems for AGPH.
  • Train on and daily operate CITY Meeting systems for Marriott properties
  • Practice safety standards and reports all unsafe conditions.
  • Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain an associates attitude, willingness to please guests, ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Exhibit the ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
  • Sustain a good record of attendance and punctuality at work.
  • Adhere to prescribed grooming and appearance standards.
  • Display a willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Can lift up to 50 lb.
  • Have knowledge of the hotel layout, products, services, amenities, and history
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel. Experience with Delphi a plus.
  • Show professional, reliable, and organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm and the willingness to work outside these hours when necessary.
  • EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Prior Hotel experience is helpful.
  • Full understanding of Microsoft Office
