AmWest Ambulance is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Critical Care Transport (CCT) Registered Nurse for transportation of highly acute medical patients requiring critical care in our Stanislaus & San Joaquin County Operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a CCT or Flight RN, or have at a minimum two years recent clinical experience as an ICU or ED nurse.

In addition, we are in a unique position to offer 24 hours shifts for our full-time staff, dedicated ambulances, CCT trained EMT’s, and local responses to our client facilities that are generally no more than an hour away from our base station. No more traveling 2 hours to your requesting facility followed by a 3-hour transport only to drive 3 hours back to the originating facility!

Requirements:

- Current license in good standing as an RN in California

- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in critical care nursing (ICU or ED)

- Current CPR, ACLS and PALS from the American Heart Association (AHA)

- Current state driver’s license

- Ability to work well with EMTs and Paramedics in a transport situation

- Ability to work cooperatively with medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care

- Ability to interpret all required documents and write required reports

- Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments

Preferred:

- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)

- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)

- TNCC

Pay: From $59.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 48 per week
