Assists Management in the monitoring and safeguarding of company assets, achieved through analyzing and reconciling receivable transactions. Effectively communicates with internal and external customers, while successfully maintaining a high level of customer service. This position reports directly to Accounting Manager.

Assists Management in the monitoring and safeguarding of company assets, achieved through analyzing and reconciling receivable transactions. Effectively communicates with internal and external customers, while successfully maintaining a high level of customer service. This position reports directly to Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely collection of receivables per Accounting protocol
- Ensure timely remittance of funds due to the client
- Respond promptly to premium billing inquiries from clients
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies within the accounting subledger and work with clients and Accounts Payable Analysts to provide resolution
- Process adjustments and write-offs within authorized threshold
- Escalate Aged accounts and reconciling items according to protocol
- Review and clear Unapplied Cash Items according to protocol
- Ensures Premium Audits are returned to the Market pursuant to terms within Market agreement
- Train and mentor staff
- Perform supervisory administrative duties
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by the leadership team
- Verify Bank Change Requests
- Conduct monthly/quarterly Operations Managers calls
- Manage Broker inquiries
- Disbursement approvals within thresholds
- Assist Management with identifying, developing, and monitoring business metrics
- Assist Management to identify issues of current processes and make suggestions for improvements
- Assist in developing goals and driving results to achieve desired outcomes
- Bachelor’s Degree- (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 5 years’ experience in Premium Accounting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Industry accounting, business processes and terminology
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete work within scheduled deadlines
