Amwins Program Underwriters (APU), part of the Amwins Underwriting division, offers an exclusive healthcare management liability program that covers a broad spectrum of healthcare providers.
APU is seeking a Underwriter to join our team in Anaheim, CA. This is an in office position with a hybrid schedule available once training is complete.
Pursuant to California State regulation, the salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
The primary focuses of this position will be to grow the specific program book of business profitably through retention and new business goals established by the Program Manager and the development of relationships with key program production sources.

Our Healthcare Management Liability Underwriter is responsible for assessing and analyzing risks associated with healthcare management liability insurance policies.
- Review applications and documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze financial statements to assess the financial health of healthcare organizations.
- Use underwriting data to recommend pricing and terms based on risk and company guidelines.
- Manage a healthcare portfolio, review submissions, provide quotes, and address underwriting inquiries, while maintaining clear communication with agents/brokers.
- Build and maintain relationships with agents/brokers, guiding them through the underwriting process to find solutions for clients.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management liability (D&O, EPL, and/or Cyber)
- Healthcare management liability experience preferred
- A finance background and/or understanding of financial statements a plus
