Amwins Group Inc. is looking for a Financial Analyst to onboard to their Group Benefits Division. This role requires strong analytical acumen and serves as a member of the Divisional Finance team, partnering with the division SVP Finance and Accounting Lead.
Duties are highly aligned with the overall divisional priorities, focused on building the future of Amwins Group Benefits.
We are looking for people with:
- Undergraduate degree and/or advanced degree, preferably with experience in accounting, finance, business, or economics.
- 3 - 5 years of accounting, consulting, and/or financial analysis experience.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and work on a team.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Leadership and management skills.
- High level of motivation and work ethic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Executive presence – this role will be interacting with owner-operators whose businesses have been acquired by Amwins.
- Advanced competency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required. In depth knowledge of Power BI and Sequel preferred.
- Detail oriented and organized. Must be comfortable working on projects that require a high level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Team oriented / strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in dynamic and diverse teams, able to handle personalities and situations with a positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly financial and operational reporting.
- Assist with divisional budgeting / forecasting / modeling / reporting.
- Assist with ad hoc financial and data driven analyses for Group Benefits Leadership and Amwins Leadership.
- Assist with the creation of presentations for Group Benefits Division and Amwins Leadership.
- Work collaboratively across teams within the Group Benefits Division to collect, compile, analyze, scrutinize, and derive insights from financial and operational data.
- Effectively communicate and synthesize data and outcomes with visual aids.
- Participate in and help shape Group Benefits long-term data initiatives – to include premium, revenue, claims, underwriting, and T&E metrics, among others.
- Participate in development of detailed sales reporting for Group Benefits Division sales teams and individual sales personnel.
- Participate in compensation modeling, incenting top-line growth and mentorship.
- Continuously improve and expand upon existing monthly financial / operational reporting package.
