Regulatory Compliance, Centralized Licensing Lead
This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance and maintenance of business entity and individual licenses within Amlink. This role will provide critical oversight to ensure all licenses are renewed timely and accurately, while maintaining consistency and accuracy across all regulatory processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in licensing requirements, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, with the ability to drive process improvements and mentor others within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate renewal of Amwins’ business entity and individual licenses managed within Amlink.
- Lead and direct the Centralized Licensing team in managing and maintaining licenses, including overseeing:
- Application processes
- Bond requirements
- Demographic Updates
- Fingerprinting and background checks
- Continuing education (CE) requirements
- Appointments and affiliations
- Manage and streamline team processes to drive consistency and ensure accurate regulatory compliance.
- Design, develop, and implement metrics to measure team performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive process optimization.
- Update and maintain the licensing section of the Regulatory Compliance page, ensuring all information is current and accessible.
- Conduct research into licensing and associated compliance issues, addressing challenges and implementing solutions as needed.
- Assist in responding to DOI inquiries from field offices, particularly in relation to licensing matters.
- Serve as a mentor to licensing coordinators, providing guidance and leadership to ensure team development and success.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on goals, tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement training programs for new team members to ensure proper onboarding and compliance knowledge.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in the licensing/regulatory field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in leadership and team supervision, with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of licensing requirements for Property & Casualty, Life & Health, Surplus Lines, TPA/PBM, Adjusters, MGA, and Reinsurance.
- Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and PDF. Familiarity with navigating various Department of Insurance websites for forms and regulatory information.
- Strong data management capabilities with the ability to analyze and interpret regulatory data to impact firm-wide operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively manage phone and email communications with internal teams and regulatory bodies.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of professionalism under pressure.
- Bias for identifying and resolving licensing challenges proactively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications related to licensing, regulatory compliance, or insurance regulations are a plus.
- Experience with data management tools and systems will be considered a strong asset.
