Amwins Program Underwriters is seeking an organized, motivated candidate to join its Claims Department as a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster. As a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster, you will investigate and adjust 1st party physical damage claims from first notice of loss through to resolution. The work is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a customer-oriented attitude.

- Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim, gather facts of the loss, and clearly explain the claims process
- Assess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issues
- Establish reserves pursuant to established reserving protocols and procedures
- Communicate the rationale behind coverage decisions to all relevant parties
- Maintain file notes and correspondence throughout the adjudication process to ensure all work is “audit ready”
- Alert claims supervisor in the event of potential fraud, recovery, or severity escalation in the claim
- Manage total losses, salvage, and subrogation claims pursuant to established company procedures and processes
- 2-5 years of auto adjusting experience
- Body Shop or Appraisal/Estimation work is welcomed!
- Michigan Adjusters License or willingness and ability to obtain adjusters license within 90 days (study assistance and fees reimbursed by Amwins)
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent MS Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel expertise
