Risk Services is a full service insurance manager providing all the services necessary to form and operate an insurance company or captive facility, including, but not limited to, consulting and formation services, financial and NAIC reporting, assistance with regulatory compliance, underwriting and policyholder services, and acting as reinsurance and fronting intermediary. Risk Services is primarily located in Sarasota, FL.Risk Services is a subsidiary of The Amynta Group, who is one of the leading insurance distribution and services companies with over $1.8 billion in generated premium and 1,900 associates across North America, Europe and Australia. Amynta operates in three primary segments: Managing General Agencies, Warranty, including automotive, consumer and specialty equipment, and Specialty Risk. We are an independent, customer-centered and underwriting-focused company recognized for serving leading carriers, wholesalers and retail agencies with innovative insurance solutions.
Risk Services is hiring in both its accounting and underwriting departments due to significant business growth.
Responsible for the preparation of financial statements for small insurance companies. Duties include bank reconciliations, completion of various accountings tasks, billing duties and assisting management with ad hoc projects.
Duties also include:
Preparation and upload of journal entries into the appropriate accounting system.
Assists in the analysis and preparation of financial data.
Performs routine/basic accounting responsibilities.
Works closely with Operations Manager, Accounting and Client under immediate supervision.
Education and/or Experience:
Degree in accounting preferred or having prior accounting experience.
PC literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Assists in the analysis and preparation of financial data.
Performs routine/basic accounting responsibilities.
