Overview of the Role
Amyx, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our team at Fort Meade, MD.
- This position requires a strong understanding of National and DoD IT Policy, as well as experience with functional area expertise in cybersecurity architectures, information processing transport architectures, and cybersecurity policy.
Responsibilities:
- Design architecture that includes software, hardware, and communications, while also providing for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
- Provide guidance to ensure appropriate coordination with cybersecurity and architecture organizations is accomplished to support mission areas.
- Support the Government in assisting coordination and collaboration with external organizations to ensure mission requirements are met.
- Provide a written report of technical assessments of meeting discussions and impacts to risk adjudication for new or existing systems.
- Assist in identifying requirements and end states for projects and ensure they meet identified requirements (examples: Bug Bounty, NSCAR, Internet Protocol Transport Provider Edge (IPT-PE) transport).
- Attend bi-weekly meetings to brief leadership on assessments of systems, applications, and services, and identify system functions and relationships that support goals and objectives of current and future strategic plans.
- Identify, assess, and present options for meeting functional and technical requirements, including hardware, software updates and upgrades, and developing high-level system design diagrams.
- Ensure systems are compatible and compliant with standards for open systems architecture, Open System Interconnection (OSI), and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models and profiles of standards such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model.
- Ensure the common operating environment is compliant.
- Evaluate problems of workflows, organization, and planning analytically and systematically, and develop appropriate corrective action.
- Plan efforts throughout the enterprise.
- Communicate accurate information effectively verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field at minimum.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with a Top Secret clearance and ability to be SCI eligible.
- DoD 8570 IAM/IAT level III certification.
