What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Millwright position at AMZ Manufacturing?
Position Responsibilities:
1. Understands and works from blueprints and hydraulic circuits, written and oral instructions.
2. Uses precision measuring equipment.
3. Operates acetylene burning equipment and is weld certified.
4. Successfully performs job assignments on all plant equipment.
5. Troubleshoots lubrication systems.
6. Performs material handling and moving functions, using hand and power equipment as required.
7. Assists in maintaining maintenance supplies and requisitions materials.
8. Trains millwrights in lower classifications.
9. Assists in scheduling downtime maintenance and preventive maintenance.
10. Takes charge and operates the mechanical maintenance department if not supervisor is available. 11. Performs general clean-up work as required.
12. Ability to take charge and operate mechanical maintenance department in absence of supervisor.
13. Ability to work in a team environment.
14. Work requires training in the millwright field or millwright experience, familiarity with maintenance operations, and a working knowledge of shop mathematics.
15. Must have demonstrated the ability as a L.G. 9 Millwright “A” to read and understand blueprints, hydraulic circuits; troubleshoot lubrication systems; operate acetylene burning equipment; use precision measuring equipment and be able to pass weld certification.
Skills
High School degree, or GED equivalent, and completion of 2 years Trade School in related field, or 5 years equivalent training and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.55 - $30.60 per hour
