Live-in Armed Security Guard

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and licensed Live-in Armed Security Guard to provide overnight security coverage for our apartment complex. This position requires the guard to reside on-site and be licensed to carry a firearm while ensuring the safety of all residents, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will be responsible, vigilant, and able to work independently during the overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overnight Surveillance & Monitoring: Monitor premises security cameras throughout the night, ensuring all areas are secure and promptly addressing any suspicious activity.
• Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols of the property, including common areas, hallways, parking lots, entrances, and exits, checking for any safety or security concerns.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations such as medical incidents, fire alarms, trespassing, or disturbances. Ensure swift action is taken to protect residents and property, including notifying emergency services if necessary.
• Armed Security Duties: As a licensed gun-carrying security guard, be prepared to respond with the use of a firearm in the event of an imminent threat to safety, in full compliance with legal and company guidelines.
• Access Control: Monitor and manage access to the building and common areas during the overnight hours. Verify visitor credentials, screen guests, and ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
• Incident Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed reports of all incidents, patrolling logs, or any unusual activities that occur overnight. Immediately report any significant incidents to property management or emergency services.
• Assist Residents: Provide assistance to residents as needed, whether it's answering questions, offering directions, or helping with minor security-related concerns.
• Collaboration with Property Management: Communicate any security concerns or issues with property management, ensuring proactive measures are in place for the safety of the community.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed to carry a firearm (state or local regulations apply).
• Previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
• Strong understanding of security systems and emergency procedures.
• Ability to act decisively and calmly under pressure in emergency situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident documentation and resident interactions.
• Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities during overnight hours.
• Availability to live on-site and provide coverage, with a focus on overnight shifts.
• Valid security guard certification and firearms training certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security-related training or certifications are a plus.

Shift Details:

• Overnight shift from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Live-in position with on-site housing provided.
• Pay - TBD

This position offers a live-in opportunity with competitive compensation, including housing. The Live-in Armed Security Guard will be a vital part of ensuring the safety and security of the apartment complex during the overnight hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Night shift
