Diesel Engine Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine service on various types of diesel-powered equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to handle heavy lifting and operate industrial equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to air brakes and farm machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct diagnostic tests to identify problems.
• Assemble, maintain, and fabricate components as necessary for repairs.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Utilize tools and equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Experience working with industrial equipment is highly desirable.
• Skills in soldering, digging, and fabricating components are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
