Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our healthcare team.
Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, including vital signs and overall health.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Provide care for patients in acute care settings, including Level II Trauma Centers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all interventions and assessments.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards.
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy practices, particularly in pediatrics and pulmonology.
Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Experience in acute care settings; familiarity with PICU and OR environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to respiratory function and disease processes.
- Proficiency in performing assessments, interpreting vital signs, and responding to emergencies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in inpatient settings is highly desirable.

Pay: $40.53 - $44.01 per hour
