RN Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Duties

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform nursing procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and airway management.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide support in assisted living environments or home community care settings as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in basic life support (BLS) techniques.
• Experience with IV infusion techniques and catheterization procedures.
• Knowledge of mammography procedures is a plus.
• Strong ability to lift patients safely while adhering to proper body mechanics.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
