Job Summary:
The Primavera P6 Scheduler will assist in scheduling all needs, material, and personal at the beginning of each project. P6 Scheduler is responsible to breakdown each project into digestible sized deliverables and activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules collaboratively with the project team using Primavera P6.
- Participate in all phases of construction planning and scheduling process, including creating contract, procurement, baseline, and track schedules.
- Conduct regular project visits to review job status and apply construction sequencing knowledge to maintain project schedules accurately.
- Identify and effectively communicate schedule challenges, risks, and conflicts to stakeholders and provide corrective suggestions and creative solutions.
- Assist project team in schedule sequencing, methods of construction, project delays and impacts, alternate work plans, and recovery schedules.
- Participate and provide feedback in project pre-planning, post-construction, and monthly project status review meetings.
- Provide professional guidance and support to project team to help develop project WBS structures, budgets, resource forecasts, risk registers, progress reports and standardized reporting.
- Review and analyze cost reports to assure that costs incurred are consistent with resource plans and progress recorded.
- Oversee change order submittal, negotiation, and approval processes.
- Perform cost estimating when requested.
- Earned Value Management by working with the project manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- In-depth and strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) and schedule variance analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Scheduler Experience Required
· 3 years’ experience working with Primavera
· Certification in Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
· Experience working on large-scale industrial EPC projects
