Qualifications
- 10 years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
- Proven experience building production systems in fintech or financial services domains (e.g., banking, trading, lending, payments, or asset management).
- Deep understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and system design for financial applications.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as pricing, reconciliation, settlement, risk, compliance, or ledger systems.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, and distributed systems.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and working in a CI/CD environment.
- Solid grasp of security best practices, especially as they relate to financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Background in quantitative finance, crypto, machine learning, or algorithmic trading is a plus.
- Experience working in regulated environments or with financial compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, PCI, GDPR).
