Description
The Revel Group is a diversified management and development company overseeing a broad portfolio of entities, including tourism-based attractions, real estate ventures, commercial developments, and rental properties. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of several of our managed entities.
This full-time role is based in our Downtown Knoxville office, with occasional travel to Gatlinburg (1–2 days per week). The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, enjoys both operational and analytical work, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage general ledger activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and processing intercompany transactions.
· Oversee and support the monthly close process for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Import and reconcile daily revenue data from Point-of-Sale (POS) systems; ensure completeness and alignment with deposits.
· Collaborate with an Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate transaction coding and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
· Analyze financial results, research variances, and present key findings to management and operational teams—primarily focused on cost reporting and control.
· Assist in developing and maintaining annual budgets and periodic forecasts for assigned entities.
· Respond to financial and operational inquiries with clear, data-driven insights and support.
· Coordinate with external accountants and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting at the local, state, and federal levels.
· Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and financial analysis initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA or CPA track is a plus.
· Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with multi-entity or industry-diverse organizations.
· Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
· Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and working directly with operations teams is preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) and other Microsoft Office tools.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
· High attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Experience with accounting software (NetSuite experience is a plus).
Physical Requirements
· Requires extended periods of computer use in an office environment.
· Occasional travel (1–2 days per week) to managed properties in Gatlinburg, TN.
