What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Manager position at Anakeesta?
Anakeesta is an award-winning theme park that creates unique outdoor experiences by immersing guests of all ages in the beauty and adventure of the great outdoors. We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager who is responsible for the supervision of a team of skilled and semi-skilled various trade personnel to maintain a safe, clean and well-ordered environment for the properties of Anakeesta. This individual directs staff for routine maintenance of facilities, equipment, as well as schedules new projects ensuring that tools, equipment, materials and supplies are available to accomplish each project phase within the project timeline.
REQUIREMENTS:
Develops schedules for the maintenance of buildings, plumbing, water, and electrical. Works with independent contractors as necessary to repair and complete projects.
Responsible for the safety and maintenance of all tools, equipment and accompanying safety equipment and maintaining an inventory of such.
Plans for new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance, and supplies for ensuring that jobs are completed.
Reviews work orders and assigns various team members with timelines to complete and follows up to ensure that work order was properly completed.
Interviews and recommends personnel for hiring or termination, schedules personnel, and provides direction, training, support, and assistance, as necessary.
Performs Performance Evaluations on direct reports bi-annually.
Works with the Director of Maintenance to identify maintenance needs, plan and follow a budget, plan for projects, and develop schedules for periodic maintenance and inspections.
Train, work with, and supervise fellow staff members, technicians, interns, volunteers, contractors, and others to satisfy maintenance needs.
Locates, coordinates with, and evaluates contractors, service providers, and design professionals for projects and services that fall outside the scope of this position.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least two years of similar management experience in maintenance and building trades knowledge.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with others daily; ability to communicate in writing, complete forms, reports, etc.
Use of hand tools, hammers, saws, rakes, shovels, chain saws, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., stand all day, working at various heights, working in rough terrain, in all types of weather conditions
Can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, and crawl
The facility is open seven days a week and will require varying shifts and schedules.
