Anakeesta is seeking Armed Security Officers to join our team.
Armed Security Officers will patrol the interior and exterior of our facility. Our officers must have armed security registration issued by Tennessee Private Protective Services. Additional certifications and training in the areas of security, safety, wildlife control, and emergency procedures are highly valued. You must be able to work in all changing outdoor weather conditions, including extreme conditions. You must be able to collaborate with the other members of our team to limit any potential risks. Security officers will provide guest relations and customer service while keeping to the company standards and mission. We expect each infraction to be thoroughly investigated and properly documented. Our ideal candidate has military, law enforcement, or security experience.
Armed Security Officer Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrol the property for any safety or security risks
- Prioritize calls for service, including medical and wildlife incidents
- Provide first aid and emergency assistance as needed until professional medical help arrives
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
- Respond to reported incidents as necessary, including injuries
- Respond to wildlife incidents
- Complete necessary documentation and paperwork throughout shift
- Complete any reports with detailed information
- Coordinate with law enforcement as necessary
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills to stay prepared for various emergency scenarios
- Remain approachable and visible to guests to promote a sense of security within the park
- Assist and coordinate with management as needed including performing tasks outside of job description
Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age with NO criminal history.
- Armed Security registration from the State of Tennessee PPS with Dallas's Law classification or able to meet requirements within 15 days of hire.
- Provide personal owned handgun meeting state requirements with a minimal of 3 magazines and approved retention holster.
- Law enforcement, security, military, Emergency Medical Services experience strongly preferred.
- Emergency Medical Responder or higher certification preferred.
- Ability to pass a random drug and alcohol screening.
- Reliable form of transportation with a current driver's license and ability to comply with company's vehicle driving policy.
- Physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and walk continually on paved, unpaved, and uneven surface.
- Ability to work morning, evening, overnight, on weekends, and on holidays in changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Observational, communication, guest relations, reporting and computer skills.
- Ability to work and think independently to changing situations.
- Ability to de-escalate upset guests and employees.
