Anakim Consulting has an immediate need for a Senior Facility Coordinator to support a federal government data center environment. The Facility Coordinator will ensure smooth data center facilities operations including project tracking, service coordination, and troubleshooting. Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background in data center operations to provide hands-on support, as needed.
Facilities Coordination Focused Responsibilities Include
- Provide onsite Subject Matter Expert for the audits, analysis, and reporting required for data center facility operations in Langley, VA
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for coordinating service activities, requests, and requirements between customer Data Center Service operations and the Facility Manager/Facility operations
- Coordinate with local data center facilities organization and reports on facilities activity that supports data center operations
- Develop and maintain data center handbooks that include comprehensive design narratives for the on-premises facilities
- Coordinate with local physical security organization and reports on data center facility physical access activity
- Provide Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) metric as capability exists including data collection, calculation methodology detailed in power assessment reports, and metric reports
- Maintain standardized data center floor plan
- Maintain equipment lifecycle log of critical facility infrastructure equipment
- Maintain project schedules of milestones and activities associated with facility infrastructure changes
- Provides monthly reports on all service requests, incidents, problems, and change requests associated with data center facility
- Serve as primary user for maintaining Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform processes and data entry for facility infrastructure scope
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with data center design fundamentals and directly related operational areas.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading/understanding architectural and engineering design drawings.
- Manage projects and performance at the contractor level
- Provide overall direction for project level activities and personnel
- Solve complex technical, administrative, and managerial problems
- Interact with customers and technical personnel
- Prepare reports, deliver presentations, and participate in meetings
- Work collaboratively with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties and scope of authority
- Direct the completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing projects from inception to completion
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
- Track project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are met
- Attain and maintain industry recognized training/certification in one or more of these directly related data center infrastructure disciplines:
- Certified Data Center Management Professional (CDCMP)
- Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM)
- BICSI Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC)
- Complete 20 hours of continuing education annually in subject areas directly relevant to current and planned workloads through webinars, conferences, virtual/in-person classes, etc.
