Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with accuracy
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Provide product demonstrations and information to enhance customer experience
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally
- Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and security
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred
- Strong basic math skills, including retail math for accurate transaction processing
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also being self-motivated
- Experience with supervising or training new staff is a plus
- Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale systems is beneficial
