Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer - Robotics Application Layer

Analog Devices Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer to join our dynamic team and focus on the design of advanced robotics application layers.

Job Description :

As a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer specializing in robotics application layers, you will be responsible for optimizing product designs to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for our robotic app layer systems. You will work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement DFM principles to optimize robotic application layer product designs for manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new robotic application layer products.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve robotic application layer product designs.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing issues related to robotic application layer product design.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for DFM best practices specific to robotics application layers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new manufacturing processes in robotics application layers.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in robotics application layer manufacturing.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on DFM principles for robotics application layers.
  • Establish world-class manufacturing line capable of fabricating, testing, and certifying mechatronic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in robotics application layer manufacturing.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role, preferably in the robotics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of DFM principles and best practices for robotics application layers.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with mechatronics manufacturing line startup.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5 years of DFM experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of high-volume production processes and equipment for robotics application layers.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in robotics application layer manufacturing.

    The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $74,400 to $102,300.

  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time , and other benefits.
  • Salary : $74,400 - $102,300
