Job Description:

As a Design Verification Engineer Intern at ADI, you will gain hands-on experience in verifying digital, analog, and mixed-signal IC designs. You will assist in developing test benches, performing simulations, and using verification tools to ensure the accuracy and performance of new designs. This internship will provide you with exposure to industry-standard verification methodologies, such as SystemVerilog and UVM, and give you the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers to solve design verification challenges.

This internship is ideal for students looking to build a strong foundation in design verification engineering and contribute to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of test benches for digital and mixed-signal product verification.
  • Use EDA tools to run simulations and verify the accuracy of IC designs.
  • Help identify and resolve design issues during the verification process.
  • Work with senior engineers to perform coverage analysis and ensure thorough verification.
  • Assist in automating verification tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Perl, Python).

Skills You Will Need to be Successful:

  • Test Bench Development: Basic understanding of test bench development for verification tasks.
  • EDA Tools: Experience using EDA tools to assist in design verification processes.
  • Issue Identification / Problem Resolution: Developing skills in identifying and addressing design issues early in the cycle.
  • Mixed-Signal Testing: Basic understanding of mixed-signal testing principles.
  • SystemVerilog / UVM: Introductory exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM for test bench creation.
  • Scripting: Basic ability to create scripts for automating verification tasks.
  • Verilog RTL: Familiarity with Verilog for RTL design and verification tasks.
  • Debugging: Developing skills in debugging verification environments and identifying issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Coursework or projects related to design verification, mixed-signal systems, or digital design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
