SUMMARY:
Mechanical:
Performs a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production assembly and subassembly operations of a semiskilled nature to build, printed circuit boards, modules, and electronic and mechanical systems and assemblies.
PCB Inspection:
Perform inspection of PCB as the come off of the SMT line or Wave machine. Inspect by visual and using AOI equipment. Use of x-ray equipment also.
DUTIES:
Mechanical:
• Assembly operations will include component and hardware installations.
• May performs etch cuts.
• Read and interprets engineering drawings and reworks parts to incorporate engineering changes.
• Assemble and install various electrical or electronic components where operation and sequence are specified established operations practices.
• Use a wide variety of specialized hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• May set up and operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment; ability to set up fixtures, operate assembly equipment.
• May perform mechanical assembly of a medium complexity item.
Inspection:
• Verify the placement, orientation and component marking are correct using the documentation provided.
• Will be trained on the AOI and X-Ray equipment.
• Will be able to visually inspect the pcb when need to verify the quality.
EDUCATION ANO EXPERIENCE
- As a skilled assembler, completes tasks in effective ways.
- Works with minimum supervision.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required.
- IPC-A-610 certified and component identification (IPC-DRM-18J) required. (For Inspection)
- High school or equivalent plus 3 years or more of related experience.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
