Join our dynamic team as a Cost Accountant, where you'll play a crucial role in analyzing inventory transactions, managing month-end close activities, and driving impactful process improvements. Collaborate closely with our engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and contribute to our company's success. Here's what you will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate weekly cycle counts, ensuring we meet our annual inventory goals and maintain accuracy.
- Dive into inventory variances, such as PPV and work orders, collaborating with team members to resolve issues promptly.
- Take charge of month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
- Maintain the integrity of our assets by reconciling consigned inventory accounts with third parties.
- Spearhead the annual STD cost roll, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
- Drive system improvements by supporting management and IT initiatives, streamlining our processes for greater efficiency.
- Contribute to quarterly E&O reporting and review, ensuring our financial health.
- Play a key role in supporting year-end audits, addressing inventory-related inquiries and requests.
- Engage in exciting special projects that challenge and grow your expertise.
Here are the positions qualifications:
- BA/BS degree Accounting
- Cost/Inventory experience required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet monthly deadlines
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems – SAP experience a plus
