The M365 Engineer is responsible for the design, build, implementation, and delivery of scalable Microsoft Office 365 solutions, with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and security.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, maintain and troubleshoot all Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and Intune.
- Implement and enforce security and compliance policies within Microsoft 365.
- Configure and manage SSO implementations, app registrations, and other integrations with Azure/Entra.
- Oversee the migration, integration, and rollout of new Microsoft 365 features and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft 365 services and applications.
- Design, implement, and manage Active Directory environments, including domain controllers, DNS, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and organizational units (OUs).
- Maintain and optimize hybrid identity solutions, including Azure Active Directory Connect, Entra proxy servers, and Workday integration.
- Implement and manage identity governance and secure access solutions such as Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Participate in 24x7 On-Call rotation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of substantive relevant work experience required.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and services across multiple geographies required.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) tools and principles required.
- Expert level PowerShell scripting experience required.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPNs) as they relate to identity and collaboration platforms preferred.
- Strong ability to create technical and non-technical documentation is a plus.
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
