What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Statiscian position at Analytica?
Analytica is seeking a Senior Statistician to support NIH within the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Division of Intramural Research (NIMHD DIR). This role will be pivotal in advancing the mission to understand and address health disparities among racial/ethnic minority populations. You will leverage your expertise in statistical analysis, data management, and data interpretation to support the collection and analysis of primary data, as well as the utilization of publicly available datasets and restricted variables.

Responsibilities include:
Data Analysis: Conduct sophisticated statistical analyses of observational and experimental research study data using software packages like SAS, STATA, R, SPSS, Mplus, GIS, or similar tools.
Data Management: Handle data linkage, harmonization, documentation, and management to ensure data integrity and quality.
Statistical Consultation: Provide expert statistical guidance and consultation to ensure the appropriate selection and execution of statistical methods.
Data Interpretation: Translate statistical findings into clear, transparent, and actionable conclusions through narratives, tables, graphs, and figures.
Variable Assessment: Analyze self-reported social, psychological, and behavioral factors, as well as biomarkers, phenotypic characterization, spatial data, and ecological momentary assessment data.
Research Study Support: Collaborate with the research team to design, plan, and execute observational and experimental studies related to minority health and health disparities.
Data Sharing Support: Assist in preparing data for sharing, ensuring compliance with data sharing requirements, and facilitating data access for relevant stakeholders.
Meeting Support: Provide statistical expertise and support during meetings, including data presentations and discussions of research findings.
Qualifications:
Masters or higher-level degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, or similar
High degree of experience utilizing SAS, R, or Python to support the development of complex statistical use cases
7-10 years documented experience in statistical analyses
Experience in advanced biostatistics and epidemiologic methods and study design, supervising a team of junior statisticians, programmers, and other staf
Strong problem-solving skills, leverage domain knowledge, information technology, and data science techniques
Experience with a distributed enterprise Business Intelligence platform such a SAS, Tableau, or Qlik.
Experience with development of predictive analytics models
Experience coordinating and maintaining user stories
Must be a US citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public trust security clearance
