Analytical Sales and Services, Inc., is seeking a qualified individual to fill the following position:
Quality Control Specialist
This would be a new position for the company to fill a current gap in it’s personnel. Duties and responsibilities would include performing quality assurance and quality control across multiple departments within the company. The candidate will work closely within the company's freshly implemented ISO 9001:2015 system to ensure all processes, work procedures, and documents are being followed.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Previous quality assurance / quality control work experience
- Candidate to strongly interface with ISO 9001:2015
- Capacity to use QC/metrology equipment such as optical comparator, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Knowledge of common assembly and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions is a plus
- Must be able to read and write SOPs, training guides, checklists, forms, records, and reports
- Ability to foresee and identify potential problems and implement solutions / improvements
- Personable; communicates comfortably with outside vendors/suppliers, particularly to address quality issues (ensure suppliers meet the quality goals of the company)
- Ideal candidate will be interviewed by multiple members of the Analytical team
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with the following:
- Some previous mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge
- Previous experience working within a production and/or assembly department producing electromechanical equipment
- Foundation in hands-on R&D, and function testing
