Overview :
MULTIPLE LOCATION : Anderson SC Lock Haven PA :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to lead complex control system projects, assist maintenance teams, and mentor and supervise control technicians. This role involves specifying, designing, and implementing advanced control systems, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving performance improvements across production equipment and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Management :
Supervise, mentor, and train control technicians, assigning work, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to enhance troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Lead and support cross-functional teams, including internal technicians, engineers, maintenance, production personnel, OEMs, vendors, and contractors.
Control Systems Design & Implementation :
Specify, design, and implement control systems, including PLCs, DCSs, HMIs, servo systems, motors, drives, sensors, vision systems, and data collection software, in line with company standards.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving :
Perform high-level troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and process systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo systems.
Data Integration & Analysis :
Integrate production and lab equipment into the plant network and maintain data historian systems.
Project Management :
Lead and execute small capital projects from planning to completion.
Training & Documentation :
Organize and provide training for technicians and other personnel on new equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
Continuous Improvement :
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance and production efficiency.
Qualifications :
Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with product specifications, quality goals, efficiency metrics, and production processes.
