Job Title : Staff Auditor
Location : Columbus, Ohio, 43215
Type : Hybrid, Full-time
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements, including all aspects of fieldwork and wrap-up activities
- Work on audits at client locations, primarily in the Central Ohio area, in a team-based environment
- Being proficient in accounting standards to produce clear, well-structured and effective audit documentation
- Gain an understanding of the flow of audit engagements, including substantive testing procedures for each account or classification in the financial statements
- Conduct audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
- Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepare and adjust workpapers from clients trial balance
- Analyze financial records for variances and provide explanations
- Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities to resolve client issues discovered during the audit
- Research accounting issues
