Job Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support the Snr Sales Manager in driving the Corporate Sales plan for all 6 Avani brand hotels and implement the approved strategy and plan.
- You will set up, establish and drive the hotel’s financial performance and create results; by maximizing sales efforts with innovative marketing ideas;
- You will develop rapport with key clients and feel comfortable pursuing new business by qualify new leads and cold calling.
- To fully implement sales strategies and ensuring you meet changing market and competitive conditions, as well as monitoring competitors marketing and sales activities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Corporate trade partners and key partners throughout all sales activities.
- Support Snr Sales Manager in business case for submission of all RFP’s for MHA properties, conduct quarterly audits on all platforms to ensure information is accurate and update for all properties
- Working closely with the Hotel's General Manager, Corporate Office and unit Sales team members in driving corporate business and topline revenues to achieve monthly and yearly budgets.
- To approach the overall sales activities from a strategic perspective:
- Work collaboratively with unit sales team members to focus on assertively pursuing leads and developing detailed information on the potential revenues from the potential new accounts.
- Continually review the actual production of each account against the potential for that account. Continually review and upgrade the client base.
- To manage the daily sales activities:
- Set the financial and non-financial objectives for each member of the team and work with them to ensure these objectives are met.
- Ensure orientation in the strategy and positioning of all Minor Hotels Africa and able to articulate this positioning in the marketplace.
- Ensure face-to-face sales calls weekly target is achieved to successfully deliver desired outcome in driving sales.
- Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results, and Team Member action planning.
- Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge on all Minor Hotels Africa product and service offerings, including promotions. In addition, to be familiar with the products, services, rates new developments of our key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.
- Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips and roadshows as required to meet the sales targets of the hotel.
- Create and implement packages and promotions for periods of low occupancy
- Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise
- Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Minor Hotels Africa products
- Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset
- Ensure that all administration work is processed quickly and efficiently.

- National Diploma in Sales & Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in Sales Executive role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work long hours and ability to travel locally and regionally
- Ability to develop plan, liaise and communicate effectively with Corporate local and global client accounts and TMC’s
- Ability to implement and manage all sales key responsibilities
- Ability to implement strategies and deliver measurable results achieving targets
- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
