What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate UX Researcher position at Anaplan?
At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated ASSOCIATE UX RESEARCHER to join our growing team of researchers and designers in SEATTLE, WA. Researchers at Anaplan uncover insights about our users’ behaviors, wants and needs and effectively communicate those findings by telling compelling stories and building compassion. We gather and analyze research data and work with teams to make sure that what is learned is applied to our product and services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and other UX Researchers to prepare research plans and define metrics and outcomes
- Design and implement concept and usability testing
- Employ other research methods such as cognitive walkthroughs, unmoderated testing, and card sorting
- Design and conduct remote and in-person interviews
- Survey and screener design and programming
- Recruit, schedule research participants and be responsible for study incentives
- Synthesize findings, communicate results along with actionable insights to stakeholders, and work with them to develop action plans
- Contribute to improving research processes and operations
A little about you:
To be successful in the role, you should have the following skills and mindset:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other social sciences
- 1 years of work experience in user research or related field
- Understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods
- Diligent and able to work fairly independently on a variety of tasks
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- A strong commitment to quality –you must be organized, analytical, methodical, and have an interest in improving quality through user research
- Able to prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible, adapting to changing schedules and priorities
- A deep desire to apply research towards expanding what’s possible and improving the world
- A quick thinking multi-tasker who loves to move tasks from "in progress" to "done"
