Position: Personnel Security Adjudications Analyst, Full Time, Monday through Friday.
Clearance Requirement: SECRET
Work Location: Position is currently performed at the Government Publishing Office, 732 North Capitol Street NW, Washington DC 20401.
Annual Compensation: $75K-$85K based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities: Review Background Investigations and make recommendations in compliance with U.S. Government Adjudicative Guidelines for Determining Eligibility for Access to Classified Information. Use of PIPS and NBIS. Applicant Fingerprinting and Drafting Statements of Reason and Letters of Denial of Security Clearances. Administration and maintenance of personnel security systems (DISS, NBIS, eAPP, NP2 Portal, CVS/PIPs, fingerprinting). Security clearance process handling, including initiation, submission, and monitoring. Provide compliance reporting and security training for personnel.
Requirements:
- Five – Seven years’ experience as an Adjudicator in the personnel security field.
- Familiarity with federal security regulations and guidelines (Executive Orders).
- High level of familiarity with Suitability Factors and the 13 Adjudicative Guidelines.
- High level of experience with the Personnel Investigations Processing Systems (PIPS)
- High level of experience with the National Background Investigations System (NBIS)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess a deep understanding of current investigative techniques, practices, and legal limitations.
- Familiarity with subversive and foreign intelligence service organizations, operations, and methods of the Department of State, DCSA, and OPM.
- Knowledge about factors affecting the suitability of applicants for Federal Government employment, as outlined in 5 CFR 731 and 3 FAM.
- Ability to review security forms for completion and accuracy, and the ability to draw sound conclusions and make recommendations based on factual information.
- Able to analyze and evaluate investigative reports of a complex nature and proficiently prepare oral and written summaries of the contained information.
- Current and valid SECRET clearance.
