Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in critical and life-threatening situations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, assessing patients, administering medication, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the emergency room
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment
4. Collaborate with emergency room physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Assist in emergency procedures and surgeries as needed
6. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
7. Document patient care accurately and timely
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room or critical care nursing
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Knowledge of emergency room protocols and procedures
