Job Title: Endoscopy Tech/GI Tech
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Endoscopy Tech/GI Tech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in endoscopic procedures and providing support to physicians and nurses during procedures. The Endoscopy Tech/GI Tech will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions on preoperative care
- Handle and maintain endoscopic equipment
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and properly functioning
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any changes in condition to the medical team
- Assist with patient positioning and comfort during procedures
- Coordinate with other healthcare team members to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Document patient care and procedure details accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as an Endoscopy Tech or GI Tech preferred
- Previous experience working in an endoscopy unit or similar healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
