Pay Rate: Per bargaining Agreement
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift stock items up to 30 pounds while performing inventory, ordering and stocking of delivery items.
- Ability to work with chemical for clean-up of dishes, kitchen, and cafeteria areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and time scheduled environment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic math/computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to pass or documentation proving passage of Serve Safe Certification, a sanitation and safety training test.
- Knowledge, experience and skill in working with “Meal Magic” Point of Sale System desired.
- Ability to form a good rapport with students, staff and co-workers.
- Ability to follow and carry out verbal and written directions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regular and reliable in person attendance is an essential job function.
- Responsible for the portioning and serving of foods following all HACCP guidelines together with established safety and sanitation procedures.
- Responsible for the set up/ break down of various serving lines.
- Responsibility for the completion of daily production and participation paperwork and balancing of daily intake and deposits.
- Must comply with appropriate dress code as outlined in Food Service Dress Code.
- Responsible for following the Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the Food Safety/ HACCP Manual
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts; ability to compute percentages and to interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer skills necessary. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
