What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support claims staff in claim investigations, evaluations, and settlements.
- Ensure prompt and accurate claims processing, including excess loss claims.
- Guide the team in identifying and pursuing subrogation recoveries.
- Provide mentorship and training to new employees.
- Analyze claims data, ensuring adherence to company practices and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on litigation cases.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, verifying benefits and resolving claims inquiries.
Skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of insurance experience with a private carrier or third-party administrator.
- Preferred: Multi-state insurance, claims adjusting, case management, or loss control experience.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- , coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS), and Affordable Care Act regulations.
- Computer savvy – proficient in MS Word, Excel, and claims processing systems.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
