Job Summary:
Anchor Com, LLC is hiring to fulfill an open DAS Technician role. We are seeking a motivated individual who is looking to further their career in the DAS/ ERCES industry. 2 years of related work experience is preferred, but not required. The DAS Technician will be involved in the installation of various DAS and communication solutions. The DAS Technician will also assist in service calls and commission/optimization tasks. This position is based out of our Chandler, AZ office which supports Anchor Com’s Southwest Region. This position may require travel within the Southwest Region and occasional support to other Anchor Com markets. The ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to grow their individual career in the DAS/ ERCES industry, has interest in being a part in the team efforts of delivering only the best solutions to customers, and is motivated in assisting in the overall growth of Anchor Com.
Responsibilities:
-Show up on time with positive attitude
-Assist in installation of DAS and communication systems
-Being part of a team and mentoring less experienced team members
-Installation and termination of cable of various types (Fiber, Coax, CAT6, composite, etc)
-Installation of Antennas, RRHs, Remote Units, and Headend Equipment
-Grounding, Dressing, and Clean up of site installation requirements
-Open communication with team members and management
-Assist with close out documentation
-Assist with Inventory and Equipment Receiving as may be necessary in the warehouse
-Help keep teams motivated and positive
-Assist with installation certifications (PIM, RL, OTDR, etc)
-Assist with tracking Red Lines for As-Build documentation
-Rack and stack equipment in IDFs neatly
-Attend and keep current on product and testing certifications per project requirements
-Attention to detail and understanding of cable dressing and aesthetics
-Always keep a good attitude
-Enforce Anchor Com policies and culture
Preferred Skills and Experience:
-Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, and specifications
-2 years related work experience.
-Knowledge of general installation and cabling standards and ability to adapt
-Very good communication skills
-Low Voltage & Communication Cabling Experience
-Terminating and Testing procedures for Fiber Optic Cables and Assemblies
-Terminating and Testing procedures for 50Ohm coaxial Cables and Ancillary components
-Experience working with multiple DAS OEMs
-Experience with RF and Optical Test Equipment
-Experience working on Carrier Grade DAS Deployments
-Experience with Deploying Public Safety ERCES and Related Codes
-Experience Working in and around active construction sites
-Knowledge of general DAS components
-Understand and Follow Safety Procedures
Qualifications
-Familiarity with Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-2 Years working in the DAS or Small Cell industry
-Experience with cable installation and termination
-General experience working with or around cable test equipment
-Ability to read plans and help the team adapt where needed
-General hands-on experience with hand tools and basic power tools
