Role Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax leader to join our team. As the Director of Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the company. This newly created role will be a key leadership position within our organization, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to effectively manage a functional department and work closely with the company’s tax advisors.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability
- Management and Statutory reporting
- Provision and compliance related calculations
- Indirect tax (e.g., VAT and withholding)
- Organizational structure and internal controls
- International Planning/Modeling
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
- Analyze financial data to identify areas for tax savings or process improvements
- Manage relationships and work scope of tax advisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions
- Provide training and mentorship to junior tax professionals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with at least 10 years of overall experience in the areas of tax planning and compliance
- Working knowledge of U.S./Foreign tax laws
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and financial concepts
- SAP and other ERP and financial reporting system experience required
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Skills in problem analysis and resolution
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Hands on work ethic with strong attention to detail
