The purpose of this job is to perform a very wide variety of maintenance tasks including but not limited to mechanical and electrical maintenance work as such:
*Installation, fabrication, assembly, set-up, diagnosis, troubleshooting maintenance work on plant equipment, facilities, and services requiring the use of hand and maintenance tools and skills
*Work with blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions
*Operates a wide variety of equipment such as: various saws, benders, breaks, pipe threaders, drills, gauges, meters, feelers, voltmeters, micrometers, industrial fork trucks, hand trucks, machine tools, welding equipment, carts, ladders, lifts, etc.
*Provide cross training for other skills
*May be a member of a work group (TEAM) that utilizes some business skills such as writing and entering work orders, time distribution, quotes and estimates, use of computer in performance of duties, etc.
*This position has a skill/certificate module. The specific skill requirements for each module appear in the certification documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: includes such duties as:
*Work independently
*Coordinates PMs, rebuilds, shutdowns tasks as required
*Displays innovativeness when dealing with complex problems
*Train others in maintenance techniques designed for sensitive processes
*Works as a member of a team, writes process documentation, prepares maintenance projects and layouts, interfaces with customers, vendors, and suppliers
*Responsible for the quality of work, timeliness, work methods, practices, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*GED or High School Diploma
*Experiences in maintenance used to making decisions in a fast-paced environment
*Light lifting >20 lbs., standing for 2-3 hours
*Ability to work in a hot environment

After successful completion of 90 calendar days of probation, will be eligible for medical dental, vision, basic life insurance and other eligible benefits. This includes membership in the United Steelworkers Local 1034 union.
Comp Hourly Ranges: $31.42-Level 1; $31.82-Level 2; $33.04-Level 3
