Responsibilities
The Receptionist / Switchboard Operator is responsible for answering the main switchboard in a professional and timely manner and will respond to routine questions, forward calls to appropriate departments and / or individuals, take clear and accurate messages when necessary and ensure all staff are informed of their messages; greeting visitors and directing them appropriately. Other job duties as assigned.
Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Qualifications
Education :
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience :
One (1) year receptionist and / or secretarial experience required. One (1) year experience in the health care field preferred.
License / Certification :
Not required.
Skills :
Must have a pleasant voice and excellent telephone manners. Have the ability to prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and must be able to deal professionally and diplomatically with all staff and the general public. Must have ability to utilize confidentiality and tact in the disposition of daily and assigned projects and all other facets of the position.
